Tereo Privacy Policy

Tereo is a private prayer app. Prayer intentions, prayer notes, prayer lists, prayer session history, and account information are treated as sensitive personal data and are used only to provide the app's private prayer-tracking and sync features.

Information We Collect

Tereo collects the information needed to create your account, protect your private workspace, and sync your data across your devices:

  • Account information: your email address, account identifier, and authentication session information.
  • Prayer content: prayer titles, optional descriptions, prayer lists, prayer notes, prayer status, and related timestamps.
  • Prayer session information: private session history, session status, included prayers, prayer-session timestamps, and related recap-ready facts.
  • Technical information needed for app functionality: information required to authenticate requests, sync data, maintain security, and keep the service available.

How We Use Information

We use your information to:

  • create and manage your private Tereo account;
  • save, display, update, delete, and sync your prayers, notes, lists, and prayer sessions;
  • keep your prayer data scoped to your authenticated account;
  • protect the security and reliability of the app; and
  • respond to privacy, support, or deletion requests you send to us.

Tereo does not sell your personal information. Tereo does not use prayer content, prayer notes, or prayer activity for advertising, third-party tracking, public sharing, AI processing, analytics, or marketing profiles.

Third-Party Service Providers

Tereo uses Supabase for authentication and cloud database services, and PowerSync for private sync between your device and the cloud database. These providers process Tereo data only as needed to provide account, storage, sync, security, and reliability features for the app.

Private Data And Device Storage

Tereo stores private app data in an account-scoped local database on your device so the app can work quickly and support local-first use. Synced data is scoped to your authenticated account. When you sign out, Tereo removes private cached content for that account from the active device.

Data Retention And Deletion

We keep your Tereo account data for as long as your account is active or as long as needed to provide the app's private sync features. You can request deletion of your Tereo account and app data by emailing contact@keptintheway.org. After verifying the request, we will delete the account data we control unless we need to retain limited information for legal, security, or abuse prevention reasons.

Children

Tereo is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Tereo, contact us and we will review the request.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy when Tereo's privacy practices change. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
